Hai-Dang Phan is a Vietnamese-born American poet and professor. His writing has appeared in The New Yorker, Poetry, Best American Poetry 2016, Boston Review, New England Review, Asymptote, Prelude, and has been generously supported with scholarships and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, and the American Literary Translators Association. He earned an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Florida and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Wisconsin. An Assistant Professor of English at Grinnell College, he is completing his first book, Reenactments: Poems and Translations.
