HAI-DANG PHAN is the author of the debut collection Reenactments (Sarabande February 2019). His poetry appears in the New Yorker, Poetry, New England Review, jubilat, Lana Turner, Prelude, and in the chapbook Small Wars (Convulsive Editions, 2016). His work has been recognized and supported with a National Endowment for the Arts Literature Fellowship, the New England Review/Bread Loaf Award for Emerging Writers, the Frederick Bock Prize from the editors of Poetry Magazine, and an American Literary Translators Association fellowship. He holds a Ph.D. in Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Florida. Currently, he teaches at Grinnell College and lives in Iowa City, Iowa.
