This blog is written by Hai-Dang Phan, ambivalent academic, aspiring writer, and occasional blogger. He was born in Vietnam and raised in River Falls, Wisconsin. He currently lives in Madison, WI and is completing a Ph.D. in Literary Studies at the University of Wisconsin. A former Thomas J. Watson Fellow, this fall he will begin an M.F.A. in Creative Writing at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
